Shipping & Returns


Shipping Information: USPS & FedEx (United States):

Scentimental Gifts, Etc. aka "Scent Deals" does not accept or ship C.O.D. All orders in the continental United States and Canada are shipped by either United States Postal Service (USPS) or Federal Express (FedEx), once the order has been processed and completed. This means that once the order/items leave our warehouse, it is the shipping carrier/agent that is selected for the shipping of the order (USPS or FedEx), that is then responsible for the safekeeping of your package. Shipping rates are based on the weight/size of the packaged order and the distance that the order is shipped from our location to the customer location (Excludes Flat Rate Options). USPS orders are not guaranteed by a certain day, but USPS does indicate that Priority Mail should arrive in 2-3 days from the time it is shipped. Late deliveries cannot be reimbursed if this option is selected. You can use the tracking number that is sent to you (a copy is also in your account when it ships) to track your package on our website or through the shipping carriers website. The shipping rates shown on our checkout page are estimations only, but are accurate most of the time. If additional charges are required to ship your order, we will contact you via email or by phone, as soon as possible. Multiple box shipments (large orders) can sometimes arrive at different times and a day(s) apart and may incur additional shipping charges. Give the packages at least 1 extra day to arrive before calling for a tracer. USPS Priority Mail usually takes about 2-3 days for delivery and FedEx orders vary in shipping time depending on your zone. These estimates are from the time the order is shipped from our facility and NOT from the time your order is placed. We are located in Florida, so please remember that the distance the package has to be shipped impacts the pricing the shipping carrier will charge.
 
ORDER PROCESSING TIMES:
 
Processing Times: We try to have every order out as soon as possible once an order has been received, but please know that processing and shipping times can vary depending on the time of the year. Also, keep in mind that our industry does have peak seasons and the volume of business that we have can vary significantly depending on the time of the year, which in turn will effect our processing/fulfillment times with orders. If you have purchased items that are "made-to-order", please know that we typically will make these items once your order has been placed. We make a lot of our products "to order" versus having them stored on the shelf for a period of time to ensure that we are providing a product with superior quality that is fresh, strong, and long lasting. We want our customers and our customer's customers to be completely satisfied with the product quality. We have chosen to take a "Quality over Quantity" approach, but this does take additional time, in comparison to having products sitting on a shelf for periods of time waiting for a customer to purchase them. Again, we will always strive to get orders and products shipped out as quickly as possible. Please see the list of products below for the estimated number of business days that may be needed to process and prepare for shipment with our supplies and "made-to-order" products.

Please allow additional processing time for larger orders and please keep in mind that processing/shipping times may be longer during busy peak seasons. The time frames that are listed above are estimates, but we will ALWAYS work and try to get orders out as quickly as possible.
 
SHIPPING TIME VS. ORDER PROCESSING TIMES:

Shipping Times vs. Order Processing/Fulfillment Times: Please know that if you choose to use FedEx Ground for your shipping method, FedEx's Ground Shipping option will list a specific number of days in their option. This number is an estimate of time that FedEx needs to transport the order/package from our location to your listed location. FedEx Ground is the basic/standard shipping option that FedEx offers, and the number of days listed will vary from 1 Day (business) up to 5 Days (business), again depending on your location in proximity to our location. For instance, the option may show as "FEDEX GROUND (2 DAY)". This listed number of days can vary and change depending on your location. The closer a customer's location is to our location, the lesser the number of days it will list. The further away a customer's location is to our location, the larger the number of days it will list. For instance, if a customer is in the same state as we are located, Florida, then the shipping option will be "FEDEX GROUND (1 DAY)", but if a customer is in Alaska, then the option may list "FEDEX GROUND (5 DAY)". Please know that the time frame that is listed for shipping by FedEx or any shipping carriers is SOLELY for the time needed to ship the package. This time that is listed by the shipping carriers DOES NOT represent or consider any time that is needed to process/fulfill customer orders. So if you select "FEDEX GROUND (2 DAY)", this DOES NOT mean that you will receive your order in 2 days from the time you place it. We still have to process/fulfill the order and once it is complete, then we will ship the order using the option and time that was selected by the customer. Again, please know that the time needed for PROCESSING/FULFILLING of orders is completely separate and different from the time needed and/or listed as an estimate for SHIPPING by the shipping carriers.

Canadian/International Orders: If you would like a shipping quote for USPS International, please copy & paste the details of your shopping cart into an email and send to orders@scentimentalgifts.net requesting a shipping quote. Our online shipping calculator does not calculate International rates properly for USPS. Any import/customs charges are the responsibility of the customer and are not included in our shipping quote. Please be aware that additional charges may be assessed or delays may occur by customs at the border, including GST taxes and carrier brokerage fees. We cannot estimate these fees or delays prior to shipping. Please note that some of our products cannot be shipped internationally.

Freight Carriers: Delivery by a trucking company can be arranged on larger orders, call for quotes. If you prefer, you are welcome to arrange for your own freight company to pick up your order instead.

Damaged Shipments: If your package does not arrive in acceptable condition, Do Not Accept it from the carrier. If you accept the damaged package from the courier you will be responsible for the return shipping cost. All packages leave our warehouse in good condition. Our responsibility ceases upon delivery of our goods to the carrier. You must get a claim number from the carrier. Please contact us immediately via text message (email once turnaround times return to normal) if your order arrives damaged. Upon receipt of the claim reimbursement from the Carrier, we will replace your product.

Returns: Fragrance oils, essential oils, reed diffuser oils, aroma beads, incense, smelly belly bears, simmering ice potpourri, ultimate potpourri & crystal potpourri are NOT returnable under any circumstances, unless shipped by error on our part. We encourage you to sample our fragrances first to assure your complete satisfaction. This policy is for your protection so we can ensure the high quality of our products. All other merchandise returns accepted only within 7 days of receipt. Returns must be approved/authorized, so please text and/or call (904) 229-9358 to discuss. Unless it is our error and we are at fault, a 15% restocking fee will apply to all returns of items in order to cover credit card fees, labor incurred, etc. If an order is cancelled prior to it being shipped, but after the order has been processed/fulfilled and is ready for shipment, a 15% restocking fee will apply for the same reasons previously listed (See Cancellations below). And please know, a 75% restocking fee will be charged to unauthorized returns to cover the previous listed costs, as well as the now unusable product(s). Approved returned merchandise must be received in its proper packaging and in good condition, or it will not be accepted.
IF ITEMS ARE NOT RECEIVED IN RE-SALEABLE CONDITION, THEY MAY NOT BE ACCEPTED. Unless return is due to an error on our part, customer is responsible for shipping on all returns. In-store credit only, no cash refunds are given unless shipment was our error. Do not send new orders with returned items for an exchange! Doing so might delay your order, as returns are unpacked in the order they are received. You will be notified when we receive your return, and then you can use that store credit on a new order. SPECIAL ORDER AND PRIVATE LABELED PRODUCTS ARE NOT RETURNABLE.

Specials/Returns: No substitutes are given on sale items. If any of the desired scents are currently out of stock, you will be asked to choose an alternate. If any sale items are out of stock, a rain check will not be given.

Cancellations: If you decide that you would like to cancel your order, please contact us at (904) 229-9358 by texting and/or calling. We will check the status of the order to see where it is at in the process. If the order has been processed/fulfilled and is ready to ship, then it will be treated as an order that is being returned/shipped back to us, and our "Returns" policy will apply so there will be a 15% cancellation charge for labor, restocking, packaging, etc. Again, our products are made "fresh to order" after orders are placed in order to ensure that our products are meeting the quality expectations & standards that we have in place.

Tax Exemption: If you are in the state of Florida and would like the sales tax on your orders waived, we require a copy of your State Resale Certificate. Upon placing your order, to ensure you do get credit for the taxes, please make a note in the COMMENTS or NOTES section of your order indicating that we have your tax information on file.

TERMS: Scentimental Gifts, Etc. does not currently offer payment terms. All orders are shipped on pre-payment terms only.

Warranties: ScentDeals.com makes no warranties, expressed or implied, as to the suitability of any certain product for use in secondary products or the actual results of its use in any such products. ScentDeals.com expressly disclaims any and all liability resulting from the use of these product in any secondary products produced thereby. It is common in our industry for occasional variances to occur in products such as waxes and fragrances, therefore slight adjustments to your formulas/methods may be needed at times. Any instructions, directions or tips given on the ScentDeals.com site are strictly for informational purposes and are only helpful guidelines to be used as a starting point. This information is provided without warranty of any kind or fitness for a particular use or purpose.
